Recently opened in East Market at Fair Lakes in Fairfax, VA, near Whole Foods, this cozy, spotless cafe with minimal decor serves excellent matcha lattes with the right level of sweetness to highlight the quality of the matcha. They also offer espresso drinks like lattes, which are full-bodied, robust, and slightly acidic. As they are still in their soft opening phase, a full breakfast menu is not yet available, but their pastries, sourced from their partner bakery, are excellent—especially the blueberry scone, which is moist inside and not overly sweet, pairing well with their beverages. The owners are friendly and approachable, and our order was ready quickly. I look forward to returning once their full breakfast menu is available.
